"And we're not as lonely as we were before"

How has it been close to 3 months since I last blogged? HAHA. Been really busy lately (in other words, I was just plain lazy) So I shall just do a quick recap on a couple of significant events that happened which I didn't blog about yeah!

Shannon&Uma tied the knot! It was a great oportunity, being able to be one of the speakers for their church wedding @ St. Mary's. The Lunch which followed @ Fullerton was just incredible. Haven't eaten so much for a really long time. Plus, the caramel biscuit mango pudding is something everyone should try if they ever have lunch at Fullerton. What an unforgettable day with the Jacobs. The temple wedding was the following day, and just like the day before, the food was great! #TeamIndianFood. HAHA I'm so lame. Can't wait for them to move to Punggol. Expecting Ben & myself to spend most of our time at their place once they move in. HAHA.

All dressed in white and got confirmed at around 630 with the 4 girls who've stuck with me since Primary 1. I remember how we'll all dread going for classes, but now that they're finally over, I sort of wished I appreciated Cat. classes a little more. Dinner @ The Quartz after mass was incredibly good. Thank you Kelly, Angela, Vidhya, Pei Shuyuen, Naomi, Ching, Evelyn, Justina & Francesca for coming. Joining IOS with Sheriann tomorrow. And hopefully, Megan, Sheriann and Bronte would join soon, so we'll all be able to have breakfast every Sunday again, just like how we used to.

Went for a holiday and Shannon&Uma's reception in India. Overall, I enjoyed myself because the food there was just amazing. However, the perpetual horning coming from vehicles and how we'll have to risk our lives everytime we cross the busy streets, reminds me of how I'll never want to go back there. Seeing many poor people begging on the sidewalks also made me realize how fortunate my life here in Singapore is. Came back to a very pleasant surprise at 630am. Angela, Pei Shyuen & Vidhya were at the airport to welcome me back! That was an incredibly sweet gesture since it was so early in the morning. Headed to Ikea for some window shopping before going home to get some sleep.

Got woken up by an incredibly bad abdomen pain and having major difficulty breathing. Silly me, decided to keep quiet about it till around 930, when the pain was unbearable. My mom and brother rushed me to the hospital and after 5 hours of tests and scans, I got admitted. My relatives visited me first thing in the morning and they all brought balloons because they know about my weird fascination with things that fly HAHA. Vidhya came to visit too, which was pretty sweet since she had to run in the rain to get to KK. Got discharged on the 6th and from that day, my parents kept a close eye on me, making sure I eat regularly. But everything's fine now, the pain comes back sometimes, but it'll go away within minutes.

CHRISTMAS! Went for 9pm mass @ SFX. Pretty proud of myself since I was able to fit into the dress I got 4 years ago? Headed to the grandparents place for a Christmas countdown after that before heading home and keeping the best friend awake, telling her that sleeping during Christmas is not allowed, but ended up falling alseep before she did HAHA. Lunch @ Jacq's was pretty good although the food's the same like every other year. Dinner @ The Quartz is always the highlight of every Christmas for both the Jacobs & Michales. Had a great time with all the cousins and Shannon&Uma's friends that dropped by too! So at around 10 plus, Angela, Vidhya & Pei Shyuen popped by for about 15mins. And although it was so late, they made the effort to come over. That  simple gesture of theirs made my Christmas :)

New Year's Eve! Spent the morning having prata with Vidhya and shopping for last minute Christmas gifts. Headed back home and died in my room thinking about how unproductive I was being on the last day of 2012. Everything got better at night when all the Jacobs headed to Uncle John's place for a countdown party. Best party of 2012, I swear. Everyone was pretty high and drunk, and for some reason, I found it incredibly amusing how the Jacob brothers get all emotional and start hugging each other. HAHA.

"5...4....3...2...1...HAPPY NEW YEAR....CRASH." Yes, on the 1st second of the New Year, a wine glass slipped out of my father's hand and came crashing to the marble white floor of my uncle's flat. Glass was everywhere, and unfortunately, my aunt's foot got injured. What a great way to start the year :'( We all stood in a circle and said a short prayer after that, as (for superstitious reasons) it is bad luck to break any form of glass on a special day. Everything was fine after that, and the party carried on. And just like every year since 2009, I made my first New Year's call to Krystle. What a great way to start 2013 :o)
