Camp Aspirations at Bintan from the 9th to 11th was a great opportunity for 4E to bond. Really glad that by the end of camp, I got much closer to Ching, Vidhya & Tricia. Going to the children's school and helping them cement their courts and painting their walls made all of us really happy. Seeing their smiles and hearing their laughter gave us motivation to carry on although we were incredibly tired and sweaty. Not to forget smelly. HAHA. Rooming with Kelly & Valerie was pretty great. It's a good thing the 3 of us are pretty light sleepers, and we all got up really quickly in the mornings. Woke up at 4am on the first morning because we forgot to set the time to Bintan's timing. Kelly and I ended up watching Unbeatable Sazuke and making fun of every single contestant. Went Mangrove planting on the 2nd day and back to the school we visited the previous day to continue our work. Reflections during the night was pretty emotional. Everyone started apologising to each other, and even I did. Well, that did not go as well as I expected it to....But I'm glad I finally got the courage to do it. Headed for a 1 hour drive to the water village to see how the people in Bintan lived on our 3rd day, and my apologies for drooling on you during the bus ride Vidhya. HAHA. That was basically what we did there. It was my first time going to Indonesia, and it was definitely an eye-opener.
