"New year, new start"

Camp Aspirations at Bintan from the 9th to 11th was a great opportunity for 4E to bond. Really glad that by the end of camp, I got much closer to Ching, Vidhya & Tricia. Going to the children's school and helping them cement their courts and painting their walls made all of us really happy. Seeing their smiles and hearing their laughter gave us motivation to carry on although we were incredibly tired and sweaty. Not to forget smelly. HAHA.  Rooming with Kelly & Valerie was pretty great. It's a good thing the 3 of us are pretty light sleepers, and we all got up really quickly in the mornings. Woke up at 4am on the first morning because we forgot to set the time to Bintan's timing. Kelly and I ended up watching Unbeatable Sazuke and making fun of every single contestant. Went Mangrove planting on the 2nd day and back to the school we visited the previous day to continue our work. Reflections during the night was pretty emotional. Everyone started apologising to each other, and even I did. Well, that did not go as well as I expected it to....But I'm glad I finally got the courage to do it. Headed for a 1 hour drive to the water village to see how the people in Bintan lived on our 3rd day, and my apologies for drooling on you during the bus ride Vidhya. HAHA. That was basically what we did there. It was my first time going to Indonesia, and it was definitely an eye-opener.

How has it been close to 3 months since I last blogged? HAHA. Been really busy lately (in other words, I was just plain lazy) So I shall just do a quick recap on a couple of significant events that happened which I didn't blog about yeah!

Shannon&Uma tied the knot! It was a great oportunity, being able to be one of the speakers for their church wedding @ St. Mary's. The Lunch which followed @ Fullerton was just incredible. Haven't eaten so much for a really long time. Plus, the caramel biscuit mango pudding is something everyone should try if they ever have lunch at Fullerton. What an unforgettable day with the Jacobs. The temple wedding was the following day, and just like the day before, the food was great! #TeamIndianFood. HAHA I'm so lame. Can't wait for them to move to Punggol. Expecting Ben & myself to spend most of our time at their place once they move in. HAHA.

All dressed in white and got confirmed at around 630 with the 4 girls who've stuck with me since Primary 1. I remember how we'll all dread going for classes, but now that they're finally over, I sort of wished I appreciated Cat. classes a little more. Dinner @ The Quartz after mass was incredibly good. Thank you Kelly, Angela, Vidhya, Pei Shuyuen, Naomi, Ching, Evelyn, Justina & Francesca for coming. Joining IOS with Sheriann tomorrow. And hopefully, Megan, Sheriann and Bronte would join soon, so we'll all be able to have breakfast every Sunday again, just like how we used to.

Went for a holiday and Shannon&Uma's reception in India. Overall, I enjoyed myself because the food there was just amazing. However, the perpetual horning coming from vehicles and how we'll have to risk our lives everytime we cross the busy streets, reminds me of how I'll never want to go back there. Seeing many poor people begging on the sidewalks also made me realize how fortunate my life here in Singapore is. Came back to a very pleasant surprise at 630am. Angela, Pei Shyuen & Vidhya were at the airport to welcome me back! That was an incredibly sweet gesture since it was so early in the morning. Headed to Ikea for some window shopping before going home to get some sleep.

Got woken up by an incredibly bad abdomen pain and having major difficulty breathing. Silly me, decided to keep quiet about it till around 930, when the pain was unbearable. My mom and brother rushed me to the hospital and after 5 hours of tests and scans, I got admitted. My relatives visited me first thing in the morning and they all brought balloons because they know about my weird fascination with things that fly HAHA. Vidhya came to visit too, which was pretty sweet since she had to run in the rain to get to KK. Got discharged on the 6th and from that day, my parents kept a close eye on me, making sure I eat regularly. But everything's fine now, the pain comes back sometimes, but it'll go away within minutes.

CHRISTMAS! Went for 9pm mass @ SFX. Pretty proud of myself since I was able to fit into the dress I got 4 years ago? Headed to the grandparents place for a Christmas countdown after that before heading home and keeping the best friend awake, telling her that sleeping during Christmas is not allowed, but ended up falling alseep before she did HAHA. Lunch @ Jacq's was pretty good although the food's the same like every other year. Dinner @ The Quartz is always the highlight of every Christmas for both the Jacobs & Michales. Had a great time with all the cousins and Shannon&Uma's friends that dropped by too! So at around 10 plus, Angela, Vidhya & Pei Shyuen popped by for about 15mins. And although it was so late, they made the effort to come over. That  simple gesture of theirs made my Christmas :)

New Year's Eve! Spent the morning having prata with Vidhya and shopping for last minute Christmas gifts. Headed back home and died in my room thinking about how unproductive I was being on the last day of 2012. Everything got better at night when all the Jacobs headed to Uncle John's place for a countdown party. Best party of 2012, I swear. Everyone was pretty high and drunk, and for some reason, I found it incredibly amusing how the Jacob brothers get all emotional and start hugging each other. HAHA.

"5...4....3...2...1...HAPPY NEW YEAR....CRASH." Yes, on the 1st second of the New Year, a wine glass slipped out of my father's hand and came crashing to the marble white floor of my uncle's flat. Glass was everywhere, and unfortunately, my aunt's foot got injured. What a great way to start the year :'( We all stood in a circle and said a short prayer after that, as (for superstitious reasons) it is bad luck to break any form of glass on a special day. Everything was fine after that, and the party carried on. And just like every year since 2009, I made my first New Year's call to Krystle. What a great way to start 2013 :o)

Let's go back to last weekend:

Due to the heavy rain after camp briefing on Friday night, most facils fell sick on Saturday, BUT I DIDN'T. Felt like a great accomplishment because my weak immune system usually gets me falling ill almost every other weekend. So moving on, faciling the p6s for their first ever church camp was more fun than I expected it to be. Hope I managed to deepen the faith in at least one child, and hopefully my own too. Things started getting pretty awkward when a girl from my group asked me for N.W.'s facebook name. She looked so in love and innocent, so I just gave it to her. HAHA WHOOPS.

The last week of school was pretty short. Didn't go on Monday because the rain, obviously didn't spare me, and I fell sick immediately after camp ended. Oh, thank you Angela & Vidhya for the packet soup. HAHA It's still in my cupboard, I'll make it soon yeah! Pretty glad that 3E's going to get promoted as a class. YAY. Haha, no more fooling around next year!

Had an incredible weekend.
Lunch + Book Shopping with Jean on Saturday.
Mass + Cat class with my favorite pals on Sunday. And I swear, I'm gonna miss waking up before 8 on a weekend and rushing to church once the year ends and cat class is over. Really hope I get into a ministry with Bronte and Sheriann. So anyways, Bronte is the worst person to lend my phone to because she has a tendency of commenting on people's instagram photos with my account. Bronte, I'm forever gonna use this against you. Oh, and for the sake of my poor memory, last week, Bronte apologized to me for blasting at me the other day. #GreatestAchievementOf2012. HAHA.

Moving on....

Gym session with Angela, Pei Shyuen and Vidhya on Friday. Played Slender after that, and it's not that scary but I obviously got a shock when Slender suddenly appeared. Spent the rest of the time watching videos on YouTube and eating chocolate pillows. Haha what a great way to ease the worry of getting results back the following day.

So the past 3 days have been pretty bad because for one reason or another, I did terribly for my EOYs this time, despite actually putting in effort. Looks like it's time to change my studying methods... But one text from Mr. Wu yesterday evening saying that I'm "not in danger if being retained" immediately made my day better HAHA. Inter-class tennis with Valerie, Kelly, Sab and Heidi was better than I expected it to be. 4th placing isn't that bad...Atleast we got into the semi-finals right? HAHA. One more day to go, and hello weekend! 

I've had enough of you. And I've had enough of this family. I'll never want to be like any of y'all.

Hello! So it's been a really really long time since I blogged. HAHA BUT HELLO I'M BACK. Okay let's get down to business...

1) Hello Kelly. I'm sorry for not keeping to my word, again. And again. And again. I'll stop making promises I can't keep. I was just not feeling very well yesterday. I'll start updating my blog more frequently now since SA2 is over! Sorry, hope you're not angry :'(

2) Had a great day yesterday with Rebecca, Kelly & Valerie and Town shopping for Evan's gift. Rebecca and I spent most of the time choosing clothes for each other which we know we'll never buy. Oh, and thanks for the Lion King Pullover Kelly! I'll Pay you back once I have enough, you're the best! Attempted, but failed to bump into Angela, Pei Shyuen and Vidhya at Orchard, so we ended up planning to meet HAHA. Krystle came over at night because we were planning to go to the gym...But that obviously didn't work out. Ended up ranting and complaining to her about everything, so that was pretty good I guess? And well, today was pretty good too. Breakfast with Officer Pinto @ Wendy's before she headed to work and spent the rest of the day lazing around at home watching HIMYM, drinking soup (Thanks for delivering the soup + Strepsils), and sleeping... Absolutely hate it when my dad's overseas because my mom thinks she's in charge which sucks because she gets all authoritative. Oh well.

3) So it's pretty good that SA2's finally over. Positively sure I'm not going to do well this time, but let's just hope it's enough for me to get promoted! Facil briefing + Lunch with Jean tomorrow! :)

Firstly, I'm sorry Kelly and Ching for not blogging for so long. Okay, hello guys! Let me just do a brief write up on the important things that happened in the past couple of weeks.                                          

 Last Friday:                                                                                                                                               Celebrated Teacher's Day in school! And I don't remember the last time I laughed so much. It was kinda touching to see how the teachers actually put in so much effort by making themselves look like fools! HAHA especially Mr. Wu with his wig! Performances by the students were really good too, especially Team Dopness (Or maybe just Desiree). Rebecca was being really mean and making fun of all the performances, and that was how Kelly and her came up with TeamFlyness. Went to watch  Paranorman with The7 after school and it was a pretty good show. Things are getting better, so let's hope there will be more outings like that!                                                                                                      

Sunday:                                                                                                                                                           Went to City Square Mall for my weekly lunch with Officer Pinto. Always enjoy eating with her because we always try new food at cheap places, and this time we tried escargots! HAHA. Never eating that ever again. Spent the rest of the time walking around, saying very corny pickup lines to her, and her ignoring me for being so gross. But overall it was fun and probably one of the only reasons why I look forward to the ending of the week nowadays.                                                          

Tuesday:                                                                                                                                                           Watched Step Up Revolution with Val, Kelly and Evelyn. THE SHOW WAS SO GOOD AND THE DANCERS WERE AMAZINGGGG. So guys, go watch it if you haven't. And even if you did, go watch it again because that's what I probably might do too HAHA. Oh man, now I wish I could dance  too. What's the point of having flexible legs when you can't dance right? :(.                                                 Okay really want to talk about Chemistry @ Vidhya's and Ben's birthday dinner but mucus keeps flowing down my nostrils and my fever's coming back again. So I shall continue tomorrow! Good night pals! :)

SFX carnival was pretty fun. Not as fun as the one a couple of years ago, but it was still okay! Went an hour earlier to help prepare for our chocolate fondue stall. Bronte and I ended up eating most of the strawberries and grapes in the end HAHA. Oh, and Angela, Kelly, Ching, Vidhya, Justina, Jane, Valerie and Pei Shyuen came too! Left at around 7+ and went for dinner at Pasta Mania! Thanks for coming guys!

And now, Sunday:

Shannon&Uma's ROM tea reception at Carpenter&Cook made everyone really full and tired because of all the different kinds of pastries and drinks. AND EVERYTHING WAS FREE. And the cafe was really cool because it was filled with many different kinds of antiques. From teapots, to weighing scales. So most of the time was spent looking at them and persuading my mom to get me a $150 typewriter, which obviously didn't work out very well :'(

Tuesday:
Watched Brave @ NEX with Evelyn, Kelly and Valerie. The show was really good and super duper hilarious! So go watch it if you haven't k!

So today was the last day of Choir Attachment. I guess I'm going to miss it quite badly :'( Everyone was really nice. Sheriann, Megan and I got them a cake and they were all really touched :') Met Bronte and Angela for lunch and to get Pei Shyuen's brithday gift!

Last week of school, and then it's the September holidays! Whoop Whoop!
1 week of phone confiscation down, 2 more weeks to go! I CAN DO THIS. I CAN DO THIS. Haha who am I kidding~

Had a great National Day at Bella's 5th birthday party! Haha Thai food always makes things a little better right? Plans for today was once again ruined thanks to my parents, but buffet lunch at Windows on the Park was really good! Spent the rest of the day figuring out how to download stuff ad watching wrestling on FOX and I don't understand why this sport is even legally allowed. Oh and for the first time in years, I finished my homework before the weekend! YAY! One step closer to being the person I desire to be, and another step closer to going back to my old self.

Haven't blogged for the past 21 days, so I'll just summarize whatever has happened since the 15th. 

1. Racial Harmony Day

Wore a sari for the very first time, and my grandmother was filled with joy when she heard the news because 10 years of persuasion has finally paid off.

Accomplished one of my many goals, but come to think of it now, that piece of film doesn't mean much to me anymore. 

2. BBQ with The Michael's

After the death of my grandfather, The Michael's made a pact to meet at least once a month. And so we had a BBQ at The Quartz which was pretty fun because it was until 4 in the morning, but the entire house smelled of vomit and vodka. 

3. Studying @ Spinelli 

Productive 20mins studying with Valerie, Kelly and Evelyn at Spinelli, before we started talking about our primary school days and our first impressions of everybody in our class. It started off being a little awkward because it was the first time the 4 of  us went out together, but it turned out to be a pretty great day.

4. CT3

3 papers on the first day was a killer. And I'm hoping Mrs Grace Lee loses our papers, because I'm pretty sure I'm gonna fail Chem. MMEs on the last day, which made it so much harder to concentrate because every time I bend my head lower to write an answer, I feel mucus trickling down my nostrils. HAHA YUCKS. 

5. Pasta Mania + Total Recall

Tried Pasta Mania for the very first time with Ching on Saturday, and it was pretty good although the serving was pathetically small. Walked around Plaza Sing with Kelly for awhile before heading to Cathay with Evelyn to meet Valerie. Total Recall was pretty good, with quite an expected ending. But nonetheless, go watch it if you haven't. Not really in the mood to talk about what else happened on Saturday, and also because the constant fear that my parents read my blog is still being felt. 

School was pretty good today. Satisfied with my Geog results, unsatisfied with my mother's "Ok good" response. Finally managed to fulfill the promise I made to Mr. Wu! There's just school tomorrow, and no more lessons for the week! HAHA YAY NO BIO. So far, I've been caught by Ms Charles twice. For laughing. Who gets punished for being happy?

So I'm guessing none of y'all would be interested in reading about how my Saturday went, but I'm still going to talk about it for the benefit of my poor memory, and for Ching who admitted to be my #1 stalker. An English lesson at Mavis won't go by without the both of us getting caught by Mr. Sany for doing something stupid or just for making a lot of noise. But it's a great way to kick start the morning by laughing with her till my stomach hurts. Pepper Lunch + Sogurt with Officer Pinto, and Pei Shyuen & Gaby after a while. I'M NOW PART OF THE MAJESTIC PONIES. HAHAHA. Had a nice bus ride down to Gardens to meet the rest for choir practice + mass. And I'm starting to like attachment a little more now because everyone's so nice to us. 

Tomorrow's going to be one of those "Stay home & be a bum Sundays" Haha, story of my exciting life yes?

Please oh Please

The modified version of Payphone which Anglea and Pei Shyuen made today has been stuck in my head since they sang it to me in the morning. Oh no. 

One reason why I hate blogging is because it makes me think about what happened throughout the entire week, and the bad things that happened seem to make me forget the good ones. But I still do it just in case I get into a car accident and need a reliable source to help me get my memory back! Haha! And I think the only things I enjoy in school now are Mr Wu's lessons, recess with Kelly, Ching, Jane, Justina, Valerie and Evelyn, Going to school with Krystle (When her alarm clock works), Nasi lemak fridays, and maybe a few other things I can't remember. Mhmm, so maybe school isn't that bad right? This term seems slightly better, so let's just hope it stays this way. 

So anyways, Mrs Gay said I had to improve on my vocab, because frankly speaking, my vocabulary skills are no better than a 12 year old's one. So looks like I'll have to start reading more, and maybe a little quicker?

Started the day with a nice breakfast with Naomi after so long. Everything else that happened in school today was either too boring, or just not worth remembering. Oh, expect for Geog when we could go to the lab and play around with Glogster. Went to Nex to watch The Amazing Spiderman with Officer Pinto after school. And guys, if y'all haven't watched it yet, GO WATCH IT NOW because it's just so amazing with Andrew Garfield and Emma Stone. Really hope they'll last long.

So going back to yesterday, we were actually suppose to have practice at SFX from 8 to 10, but they cancelled it without informing any of us. So we were all pretty mad because it wasted quite a lot of our time, and Bronte had her practical today so she was just exploding inside. But we all ended up going for dinner, and I shared a cab with Cherlyn home. AMK Mrt Station is filled with pedophiles at night.

One more day of school and then it's the weekend. OH YAY.

Haha, I don't even know. 

So It's July. Let's hope it'll be a good month.
Tuition with Ching on Saturdays is one of the only reasons why I wake up before 10 on a weekend. The rest of the day was spent rolling around in bed because it was one of those days where I had my MMEs. And in case you guys are wondering, that's Massive Mucus Explosion. It's something my mom and I made up together because it was too long to say HAHA. So it's pretty different from the usual flu I get almost every other day because this one lasts for the entire day, and it makes my eyes all watery and my nose would swell up. Basically, I would be looking like a freak.
Mass + Breakfast + Cat class was pretty okay. Joined SFX Youth Choir for 8 weeks of attachment with the other 5. Haha Bronte and I are already regretting our decision, oh well.  Spent about 5 hours in Town, going to 18 different shops, just to find a dress I would probably only wear for a couple of hours. BUT I BOUGHT PERCY PIGS!!!
So my plans for today were ruined thanks to my wonderful dad. And to the 5 of y'all, I'm really sorry that plans had to be cancelled :(

And yet, I feel nervous, every time I look at you

OH YAY SCHOOL IS OVER FOR THE WEEK.

I found something to look forward to on Fridays, It has always been there, but I just didn't realize it.

Yup, Nasi Lemak Fridays! HAHA

So moving on, I'm pretty disgusted with myself, for how I've been treating Shivani for the past couple of days. And I didn't even realize it till Kelly told me. To cut a long story short, I was rude, selfish and ignorant. And maybe I don't actually find her annoying, but because everyone else finds her annoying, I think that she's annoying too. Maybe she's actually alright, and she reminds me of myself in a way, how she can just talk about the most absurd things in the middle of Maths class. So I guess she's actually pretty fun to sit with, and I don't want to move places anymore, because I think this is going to be a great term. So from Monday on wards, I'm going to be slightly more mellowed down, and not get so agitated when she keeps borrowing my pencil. HAHA

I sense a great weekend ahead, and an even great Youth Day on Monday.
